These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the etCall mobile application and associated services (“Services”) provided by Neoplan Middle East FZ-LLC, a company registered in UAE Freezone, with its registered office at FOB51858 Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, AL Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (“etCall”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading the app, registering an account, purchasing a plan, or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Overview of the Service

etCall provides prepaid internet-based voice communication services (“VoIP”) allowing users to make international calls to Ethiopia. Our Services include:

  • Outbound calls to Ethiopia via virtual numbers
  • Personal Ethiopian number for inbound calls
  • Prepaid calling plans with fixed minutes and validity periods
  • Promotional offers and banners inside the app

We do not support emergency services (see Section 6).

We reserve the right to modify the Services, features, or pricing at any time without prior notice.

2. Account and Eligibility

To use etCall, you must:

  • Be legally capable of entering into contracts under applicable law
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date account information
  • Not be located in a country where VoIP services are restricted or illegal

We do not require ID verification or impose age restrictions. However, by using etCall, you confirm that your use is legal in your location.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at support@etcall.et

3. Plans & Pricing

etCall operates on a prepaid model. By purchasing a plan, you gain access to a specific number of call minutes for a limited time period.

  • Unused minutes expire after the validity period and are not refundable
  • Minutes are rounded up to the next full minute
  • We may update pricing, plans, or features at any time

4. Payments & Refund Policy

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy.

  • etCall does not store your card details
  • All plans are prepaid and non-refundable once minutes are credited
  • We are not responsible for any fees your bank or card issuer may apply

If you believe you were charged in error, contact support within 30 days at support@etcall.et

5. Virtual Numbers & Inbound Calls

As part of the Service, etCall provides users with a temporary virtual Ethiopian number. This number:

  • Enables friends and family in Ethiopia to call you
  • Is assigned for the duration of your active plan
  • May be revoked if your plan expires and you do not renew
  • Is not your property, and cannot be ported to another provider

We reserve the right to reassign expired or unused numbers to other users. You can view your assigned number in the app interface.

6. No Emergency Calls

etCall is not a replacement for your mobile or landline service. The Service:

  • Does not support emergency calls (e.g. 911, 112, ambulance, police)
  • Cannot connect to directory assistance or operator services

You are responsible for having an alternative method of contacting emergency services.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use etCall to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Conduct spam, robocalls, phishing, or spoofing
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten others
  • Infringe on intellectual property or other rights
  • Share your account with others or use for commercial purposes
  • Engage in excessive, automated, or unnatural usage patterns

We may limit, suspend, or terminate your access at our sole discretion for any abuse or breach. This includes but is not limited to abnormal usage inconsistent with personal use.

8. Service Availability & Disclaimer

We strive to provide high-quality call connections, but:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or delay-free communication
  • We are not liable for:
  • Poor internet connection on your side
  • Third-party network issues
  • Device incompatibility or software bugs

Telecom systems are not perfect — occasional downtime may occur.

9. Advertising and Promotions

etCall may display promotional banners or offers inside the app. These may be:

  • Related to our own services (e.g., discounts, seasonal offers)
  • Connected with promotions from our telecom partners

etCall is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any third-party advertising.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account or removing the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Misuse the Service
  • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal behavior
  • Remain inactive for over 12 months

Termination results in loss of access, minutes, and your assigned number.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, etCall shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits
  • Service interruptions or failures

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the last 3 months, capped at $100.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.

You are solely responsible for compliance with local laws regarding VoIP usage.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via:

  • In-app notice
  • Email (if provided)
  • Website update

Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
